Meet Our Teacher!
Hello! My name is Tiffany Leatherwood and I have been the teacher here, at Red Barn, since 2022. I was born and raised here in Oregon. I realized I wanted to work in early childhood education after volunteering in my oldest son’s kindergarten class 6 years ago and I have been studying it since. I love working with kids and getting to see their eyes light up when they learn new things. Being the teacher at Red Barn has been such a fulfilling experience for me. It truly is a great little community. In my leisure time you can find me with my family, gardening, reading, sewing, playing outside year round, and hitting the road for adventures whenever we can!
Established in 1977, Red Barn Pre-School is a non-profit, non-sectarian, state-certified, private cooperative pre-school. Governed by a board of parents, the school offers families an opportunity to be involved in their child’s first educational experience. Red Barn is a member of the Parent-Child Preschools Organization, a multi-state association of cooperative preschools.

Why A Cooperative?
The greatest strength of a cooperative school is the benefit the child receives from their parents involvement in their education. Secondary benefits are the opportunities provided for the parents to learn and grow.
Is There A Curriculum?
Red Barn offers extensive curriculum materials and experiences. Art media of all kinds, role playing, music, creative movement, stories, table top toys, building blocks, outside large motor development and field trips provide a large variety of learning important to child development.
Our Kids
At Red Barn our students learn and grow through play, art, reading, and being socially active with their peers. Each day there will be fun activities that coincide with the weekly lessons to encourage discoveries and an excitement for learning to help our students reach their highest potential.

Parent Involvement
Studies show that when parents are involved in the schooling of their children, the results are academic progress, increased skills, more realistic expectations, and improved parent-child relationships.
