UPDATE

Red Barn preschool struggled just as every business did during the Covid 19 pandemic. This year we were faced with additional challenges due to low enrollment and staffing shortages.  Our goal is to reopen Red Barn’s doors in January 2023 but we need the community’s help. We need donations to help keep Red Barn afloat. We need volunteers that would like to assist with fundraising and or in any other capacity. And mostly we need help with spreading the word that Red Barn is in search of a head teacher along with all the positives that come with being involved and enrolled in a co-op preschool. If you have experiences with Red Barn, share them. If you know someone who could make an excellent preschool teacher, send them our way. We would appreciate any and all help financially or otherwise as we are a small group of parents that are trying to keep an amazing staple in our Estacada community alive.    Please watch for fundraisers on our facebook page and share! One of the simplest ways to support Red Barn if you have a Fred Meyers Rewards card at no cost to you is by joining community rewards. Simply sign in to your Fred Meyer’s account and search for Red Barn Cooperative Preschool (VP349) in the community rewards section. Once added, the school benefits every time you shop. About us

Established in 1977, Red Barn Pre-School is a non-profit, non-sectarian, state-certified, private cooperative pre-school. Governed by a board of parents, the school offers families an opportunity to be involved in their child’s first educational experience. Red Barn is a member of the Parent-Child Preschools Organization, a multi-state association of cooperative preschools.

Why A Cooperative?

The greatest strength of a cooperative school is the benefit the child receives from their parents involvement in their education. Secondary benefits are the opportunities provided for the parents to learn and grow.

Is There A Curriculum?

Red Barn offers extensive curriculum materials and experiences. Art media of all kinds, role playing, music, creative movement, stories, table top toys, building blocks, outside large motor development and field trips provide a large variety of learning important to child development.

Our Kids

At red Barn our kids learn and grown through play, art, reading and being socially active with their peers.  Our days are all about having fun and helping our kids develop in to their best selves.

Parent Involvement

Studies show that when parents are involved in the schooling of their children, the results are academic progress, increased skills, more realistic expectations, and improved parent-child relationships.
